Day 1: clean and prepare. We clean the pavers, treat applicable stains, extract debris and failed material from the joints, inspect drainage and old coatings, and install ASTM-144 paver joint sand. ASTM-144 sand is not polymeric sand. Borders, drains, low areas, and transitions receive extra attention because trapped moisture or poor joint preparation can undermine the finish.
Day 2: apply two full coats. Once the surface and joints are ready, we apply two coats of Trident Hurricane CAT-5. CAT-5 is a professional two-part, water-based urethane topical sealer. It is film-forming rather than penetrating. T3 True Tone Technology deepens the pavers' existing color and creates a semi-gloss wet look, while Armor Bond helps harden the joint sand.
Cure before return to use. The coating needs protected time after the final coat. Light foot traffic may be possible before vehicle traffic, which often requires 48 to 72 hours, but Fort Lauderdale humidity, shade, drainage, temperature, and the specific site can change that window. We provide the return-to-use instructions for each project; do not drive on the surface until the team clears it.
